○ Allow the cake to come to room temperature before serving, and avoid exposing it to heat.

○ Use a serrated knife to cut fondant cakes.

○ Sculptural decorations may include wire supports or skewers; check them before serving them to children.

○ Consume the cake within 24 hours.

● For Flowers:

○ Upon receiving, trim the stems at a 45-degree angle, cutting about 1-2 inches from the base.

○ Place flowers in freshwater, ensuring the water level is checked daily.

○ Remove any leaves submerged in water to prevent decay.

○ Keep flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

○ A daily misting of water helps extend freshness.
